Independence Community Plans 5th Annual Local Home Show

The Independence Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 5th Annual local home show next weekend. The event is scheduled for Friday, February 5 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, February 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, February 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The home show will take place at the Heartland Acres Event Center, located at 2600 Swan Lake Blvd – just off Highway 20, exit 252.

The home show is targeted to a wide audience – current homeowners, prospective homeowners, anyone planning a new construction or remodeling project, consumers looking to update their home, and those thinking about outdoor projects. The purpose of the show is to provide attendees with information about products and services and to connect them with sources for their home improvement needs.

The show will feature booths from area contractors in concrete, financial and insurance needs, lumber yards/home improvement centers, lawn care and equipment, grills, pet & bird seed, ponds and retaining walls, pest control, flooring, water conditioning, appliances, kitchen goods, photography and framing, chiropractic care and more.

The cost of admission is $2.50 for adults and children over 12. Children 12 and under are free. Families are encouraged to attend. Paid concessions will be available onsite – have your favorite pizza from Pizza Ranch on Friday, Godfather’s Pizza on Saturday and Pizza Hut on Sunday with muffins/desserts from Em & Jerri’s Coffee Co. and Sage’s Garden. Attendees will also have the opportunity to register for great door prizes.
