Driver Identified in Deadly I-380 Crash
Posted 27 August 2008
The Iowa State Patrol has released
information regarding the identity of one of the drivers involved in a
fiery crash on I-380 about two weeks ago. James Horning, 50, of Central
City, has been identified as the driver of a van who caused the fatal
accident in Buchanan County near Brandon.
Law enforcement officials say Horning was going the wrong way on I-380
near the Brandon exit on Thursday, Aug. 14, when he struck a car
head-on, killing himself and the other driver, Carrie McGill of Jesup.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities did not give any indication of why Horning was driving the
wrong way on the interstate highway.
