News Season Championships Saturday at Indee Speedway Posted 22 August 2008 It's hard to believe, but the end of the racing season at the Independence Motor Speedway is almost here.  Season Championships are set for tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 23, at the racetrack. All divisions will crown a champion with the conclusion of the evenings racing.    Gates at IMS open Saturday at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 6 p.m. and racing gets underway beginning at 6:30 p.m. The season will have one remaining week to go after Saturday's races.  Races will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30.  The races next week will count for regional and national IMCA points in all divisions except the for IMCA late models.
