Bicycle Ride Fundraiser Saturday

The Little and Chatham Historical
Society is hosting a bike ride fundraiser in Buchanan County this
Saturday, Aug. 16. Riders of all ages are welcome and the ride will be
at your own pace.
Riders will pick up their t-shirts and register for door prizes at the
Hazleton City Park beginning at 8:30 a.m. The route runs west on C57,
south on V62, east and south on D16 through Littleton and Otterville,
south on Wapsie Access Blvd., east on 12th Ave. NE through
Independence, then east on 205th St., north on W33, and west on C57
back to Hazleton. The route will be marked by signs. The distance is
approximately 45 miles.
Parking will be available at the Hazleton City Park on both sides of
Highway 150. Available stops along the way will include the Littleton
Lounge, Casey's on 12th Ave. NE in Independence, and a bike refreshment
station on W33. Door prizes will be drawn at 1:30 p.m.
The registration fee will be $20 with a t-shirt or $15 without a shirt.
Participants are asked to mail completed registration forms with
payment to Littleton and Chatham Historical Society, 1006 150th Street,
Fairbank, IA 50629.
