Buchanan County Hobo Day on Sunday Posted 8 August 2008 This Sunday, Aug. 10, (not Saturday as previously reported), join the celebration of the 9th Annual Buchanan County Tourism Hobo Day. The event will be held at the Illinois Central Railroad Depot in Independence.   The Hobo meal will be Sunday evening from 5 until 6:30 p.m. The event will also feature live music, train displays, carriage rides and prizes and will run from 5 until 7:30 p.m. Sunday night.   Tickets are available for the Hobo Meal at The Depot, Rush Park Motel, S & K Collectibles and Carol O’Brien - Adult tickets are $7, Children 7 and under are $4.   For more information call Carol, 319-334-6616 or leave message at 319-334-3439.
