Driver
Injured after Incident on Highway 13
Posted 15 July 2008
Joshua Wendling,
20 of Manchester, was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 13
Monday, July 7. The Delaware County Sheriff's Office reports Wendling
suffered injuries to his arm after his truck and stock trailer were
sideswiped by a van. He declined medical attention.
Law enforcement authorities say Wendling was northbound when an
oncoming van crossed the centerline and struck his vehicle. The van
veered back into its own lane, but crossed the centerline again nearly
striking another car. The driver of the van, Zachary Youngblut, 18 of
Jesup, was not hurt.
Authorities say Youngblut was charged with failure to yield half the
roadway, no proof of insurance, and violation of restricted license.
Minor damage was done to both vehicles.
