Weigel Joins Community Media Group Posted 25 June 2008 Deb Weigel of Strawberry Point has been named Group Publisher for Community Media Group's Northeast Iowa Newspapers.   Weigel will serve as group publisher for the Oelwein Daily Register and Shopper's Reminder in Oelwein, the Bulletin-Journal in Independence, the Bremer County Independent, Waverly Democrat and Super Shopper in Waverly, the Cedar Valley Daily Times and Livewire in Vinton and the Cedar Falls Times in Cedar Falls.   With 22 years of experience of working with weekly newspapers and shoppers, Weigel most recently worked for Woodward Communications, Inc. out of Dubuque.
